Saint Rita Capital Campaign

The Monsignor Richard G. Krekelberg Fund“Passionate about Saint Rita’s Future”

Monsignor Richard came to us on July 1, 2004. For the past fourteen years, he has dedicated himself in passionate service to the building up of our community of St. Rita Parish and School. We have all been blessed by his love, care, and generosity of spirit.

As we prepare to send Father Richard off to a well-deserved retirement, we have an opportunity to honor and thank him for his vision and his leadership in building for the future of Saint Rita through the Master Plan, and for his determination to make the completion of Phase 1 a reality during his tenure.

Through our “Strengthening our Holy Communion: Growing in Faith, Hope, and Love” Capital Campaign, we have restored and refreshed our beloved Saint Rita Church and our Original St. Rita School Building (1922) and Msgr. Robert Gara Hall. As we worship together in our beautifully restored church and enjoy the many blessings of the Gara Hall Building, the power and beauty of God’s love continues to be made manifest through our Saint Rita Community now, and for many generations to come.

Inspired by God’s grace, we have answered the call to repair and restore the sacred spaces where we worship, learn, and serve. While this phase of the construction is complete, we still need to raise the final 10% of the total project funds to pay back our loan from the archdiocese. Once the loan is paid off, we can begin to look at future improvements and the building of new spaces guided by our Master Plan.

To this end, “The Monsignor Richard G. Krekelberg Fund ~ Passionate about Saint Rita’s Future”, has been created for the benefit of the Capital Campaign. The goals of the fund are to raise the capital to fund Phase 1, pay off our debt and continue to invest in our future. We have already received major renewal of pledges totaling $500k to this fund, and an additional $164k in matching donations.

We invite you to celebrate Fr. Richard by participating in this special fund. We can think of no better way to thank him than for him to know we all share his love of our Church and School, and are committed to its future, as he has always been.

In lieu of gifts, please consider a donation to the Msgr. Richard G. Krekelberg Fund, which will benefit the St. Rita Capital Campaign. We ask you to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial gift over a period of time. Your gift can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually. Contribution envelopes are also available for your use. Pledge renewals are gladly accepted.

Pledge cards are located in the pews and vestibule. All checks should be made payable to the Saint Rita Capital Campaign. Please note this special fund in the memo section. For further information, please contact the Parish Office at (626) 355-1292.
