Porters

We are always looking for more people to become part of the Porter Ministry. Did you know that, historically, the Porter was the first of the minor orders leading to priesthood? In the early Church the principal functions of the porter were to guard the doors of the church, ring the bells announcing the divine services, and assist the preacher. These days, Porters are responsible for opening the church in the morning, and locking it up in the evening.
