On Saturday, October 26, Fr. Tom is asking you to track a father and son, Jeff and Johnny Agar, competing in the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Fr. Tom became connected to the Agar family after his Ironman 70.3 in Salem, Oregon last year. They would greatly appreciate your prayers as Jeff will be pulling and pushing his son Johnny (who was born with cerebral palsy) throughout the 140.6-mile course. The Agar family is Catholic and have a great devotion to St. Rita. Johnny’s mother Becki told Fr. Tom that St. Rita would be travelling to Kona with them in the form of medals, keychains, and necklaces. Let us add our prayerful force to these items! View their inspiring story at Team Agar.
This Ironman event is a 2.4-mile swim/112-mile bike ride/26.2-mile run and begins at 7:00 a.m. Hawaii time (4:00 a.m. PDT). You can follow the Agars’ Kona Ironman progress on the Ironman Tracker app by following these easy steps:
