Through an intentional process that focuses on three core areas of the individual’s life - self, family, and community - St. Rita Faith Formation strives to transform, form, and inform hearts and minds to live by faith, be known by love, and to be a voice of hope.
This year St. Rita Faith Formation and Family Ministry invite you to “come to the well!”
Jesus invites us to come to Him just as we are. He wants to quench our thirst and fill up our souls to overflowing with His goodness and grace. Only after we spend time with Jesus at the well are we able to serve those around us (our families and our communities) from a place of abundance and hope.
The catechetical process and the ministry opportunities that operate at the heart of the parish are the well to which Jesus invites us all. Jesus is present there and in the hearts and hands of our ministers.
Our mission is to support you through thoughtful faith formation classes and intentional family gatherings so that God’s grace will overflow in you and from you to those around you.
This year, come meet Jesus at the well of St. Rita!
We are looking forward to a beautiful year! Our season will kick off on Catechetical Sunday, September 17, 2023 and sessions begin thereafter. Click the button below to fill out your online registration form, or continue reading for more information.
“I love Faith Formation! My teacher is so nice, and I like learning about Jesus. I can’t wait for my sacraments!” (Girl, 7)
“I thought faith formation was important most of all because I got to receive communion. I understand Catholic traditions and communion better than I did before. I also liked donuts on Sundays.” (Girl, 8)
“Children’s Liturgy of the Word is the best because we get to have fun while we hear the stories from Mass.” (Girl, 6)
“Faith Formation was great because I really liked learning about parts of the church, and I made some new friends this year.” (Boy, 11)
“I liked going to faith formation because it was a time without chores that I could just hang with friends. I like learning the Catholic prayers like the Hail Mary, and most of all, I liked getting my first communion.” (Girl, 9)
“The Year 2 Retreat was my favorite of the experiences. It is where I made the most friends and was really able to have fun while focusing on faith.” (Confirmation Candidate, 15)
“Faith formation was a wonderful experience for my child! My daughter enjoyed her time with her friends not only during the faith formation classes, but also at the Sunday gatherings. I loved how we as parents had the opportunity to connect with others as well. A very special experience!” (Parent)
“It’s very hard these days keeping teenagers engaged and coming back, but I feel St. Rita's leaders have done a great job at that and my son really did enjoy the journey.” (Parent of a Year 2 Confirmation Candidate)
